As the RAGFL Charitable Foundation heads into its 21st year, President Siran DerBedrossian has announced that the Charitable Foundation will be hosting the 3rd annual dinner and auction once again at the home of Daniel O’Flaherty. Mr. O’Flaherty will graciously open his home and heart to the Foundation hosting a gala evening of cocktails, dinner, live music and silent and auctions. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Foundation and its various relief efforts.

The date is being set and auction items are being collected, solicited and donations are being accepted. The Charitable Foundation is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code and Regulations and some donated items could be tax deductible.

“As REALTORS® and members of the community, we want to help ensure all individuals have the opportunity to live in safe environments,” said RAGFL CEO Richard Barkett. “The RAGFL Charitable Foundation has helped communities rebuild after disasters and improved neighborhoods through the creation of children’s playgrounds and similar projects.” Most recently, the Foundation has assisted several individuals and families through very urgent and often tragic times in their lives. With the help of the Realtor Lawyer Holiday Social, the Foundation was able to stock the toy pantry of the Broward Partnership for the Homeless with toys for new children who arrive. A holiday party for the children at the Broward Partnership for the homeless was hosted by the Charitable Foundation with the help of the monetary donations from the Realtor Lawyer social, member donations and the giving and generous heart of Claudette (Mrs. Claus) Bruck and her son Santa who have hosted this party previous years. This year the Foundation had the opportunity to enjoy the warm and happy feeling of truly giving to a community that is struggling to survive in this downturn in economy.

Anyone in the community who is aware of an individual, family or other type specific and urgent one time need is asked to let the Charitable Foundation know. The application for assistance can be down loaded from the website. Anyone wishing to be part of the Charitable Foundation as a Trustee is also requested to download a trustee form from the website. The Charitable Foundation has openings for Advisory Board Members. Please contact a Kathie McEvoy with any questions at
